WEDNESDAY, 1ST NOVEMBER
We meet at the airport at 5.00a.m. for our Air Malta direct flight to Sarajevo departing at 7.00a.m. On arrival at 8.30a.m. we proceed to our Hotel in Medjugorje. Check into our rooms after which we go to hear mass in the church of the Divine Mercy in Surmaci. After dinner we go for Rosary at the Bronze Cross.
THURSDAY, 2ND NOVEMBER
After breakfast our coach will take us to Apparition Hill. It is the place where the first apparitions of Our Lady took place, a bare and stony hill overlooking Bijakovici, the area of Medjugorje where the little visionaries lived. Later we go to the Castle of Nancy and Patirck. Many tourists and residents visit this castle to enjoy its quiet atmosphere and stunning views of the village and the surrounding area. Free time for lunch (extra) We then go to the “CROSS MAUNTAIN” for a short prayer and visit the souvenir shops. Back to hotel, free time before we proceed to St. James Church for Adoration of The Holy Sacrament. Back to hotel for dinner.
FRIDAY, 3RD NOVEMBER
Today’s full-day excursion will start with a visit to Tihaljina situated 35 km from Medjugorje. Here we can see the statue of Our Lady of Grace (that of Radio Maria worldwide) in the church of Immaculate Conception. After Mass we go to the waterfalls of Kocusa and Ceveljusa, where we will appreciate the underrated natural wealth of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the afternoon, we head to the Blue Cross, this is where Our Lady appeared to the visionaries when they were hiding from the communist police in the first days of the apparitions. A blue cross was erected to mark the location of the apparitions, which led to the name of the place, “Blue Cross” followed by a visit to the new Spring of Divine Mercy Shrine Medjugorje. After dinner we go on foot to the Bronze Cross area for the ‘way of the Cross’.
SATURDAY, 4TH NOVEMBER
After breakfast, we leave hotel to Mother’s Village to hear Mass. We then proceed to visit Mostar bridge also known as the “STARI MOST” (old bridge). Then leave Mostar to the small village of Blagaj. The village is famous for its dervish monastery and is nestled beneath a vast jagged cliff and the gentle flow of a beautiful river, with a truly serene backdrop. In the evening we visit St James Chruch for the Adoration of the Holy Sacrament. We have dinner followed by a discussion with the group on the experiences achieved.
SUNDAY, 5TH NOVEMBER
After breakfast, we check-out and proceed to Herceg Etno Selo village situated only 3 kilometers from the center of Međugorje and it represents an ideal opportunity to experience traditional Hercegovina. This vast complex represents a Herzegovinian village that is lost in time. There is a chapel, stable with animals, watermill, traditional shops and many other attractions. In the very heart of the village there is restaurant Herceg that already established itself as a true gourmet and wine tasting paradise. We stop on the way in Jablancia for lunch (extra) before we proceed to Sarajevo airport for our return flight departing at 7.30p.m. and arriving in Malta at 9.00p.m.
